Kara Kratzer, Au.D., CCC/A

Dr. Kratzer joined Southeast Kentucky Audiology in May of 2016. Dr. Kratzer earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville. She has experience in balance evaluations, diagnostics, cochlear implant services, fitting and dispensing hearing instruments and assistive listening devices, as well as counseling and aural rehabilitation. Dr. Kratzer is passionate about providing quality, sustainable hearing healthcare in underserved populations. She completed her Doctoral research project at the Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky. Her research focused on designing and implementing an aural rehabilitation and audiological training program for the staff at Red Bird. She is also passionate about helping people evaluate, diagnose and treat their vertigo and balance concerns. Dr. Kratzer currently lives in Corbin with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, cooking, volunteering in her church and community and playing with her little girl.
