Tonya Muncy, BC-HIS

Tonya graduated from South Laurel High School and soon after attended a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School. Tonya studied at YWAM for 3 months and participated in short-term state side missions before moving to Guatemala and El Salvador for her cross-cultural studies and global awareness missions. It was at that time Tonya realized her interest was in the medical field. Tonya worked in the medical field for 7 years in a variety of settings before joining Southeast Kentucky Audiology at its inception in 2003. In 2006, Tonya received her Kentucky Hearing Instrument Specialist License. Since then, Tonya has specialized in the fitting, dispensing, and programming of hearing instruments as well as assistive listening devices. Tonya works with the Southeast Kentucky Audiology team to determine the best technology and financially sound options for patients. Tonya recently obtained her National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences. This certification recognizes Tonya in an elite group of professionals who have met the highest standard of competency in service to those with hearing loss.
